Culture Count Foundation Logo

The Culture Counts Foundation is the initiator of the Global Peacebuilder Summit, and the foundation’s team is responsible for its organisation. For over ten years, the Culture Counts Foundation has been practicing and teaching constructive, solution-orientated journalism.
In crisis regions, as well as in Germany. Our topic areas are peace processes, sustainable development and cultural diversity. Our most important project in reporting on peace work is Peace Counts.

Michael Gleich

Michael Gleich is a journalist, publicist, presenter and the director of the Culture Counts Foundation. He has been reporting from the world’s crisis regions and war-torn areas for 15 years now. In the process he has come to know the invaluable work done by peacebuilders from civil society, and this has led to the idea of bringing together outstanding individuals and organisations in a summit meeting, in order to provide support for their commitment and promote international networking.

Maja Tittlbach

Media specialist and journalist Maja Tittlbach has for years now devoted her work to the themes of environment, sustainability and peace. As project assistant she is responsible for the event’s logistics, and for providing support in project management and communication. In this capacity she will help the peacebuilders to find their way to the summit. Whichever questions arise, Maja always has the answer.

Tilman Wörtz

Tilman Wörtz is the director of the press agency ‘Zeitenspiegel Reportagen‘ and assistant director of the Culture Counts Foundation. He is responsible for the media production of the Global Peacebuilder Summit.

Holger Bergmann

Holger Bergmann is the financial director of the Culture Counts Foundation, and takes care of the Global Peacebuilder Summit’s financial aspects. He has many years of experience in development projects in Africa, including activities such as microloans and peace radio in the Ivory Coast.
